Change Your Words Change Your World

A brand new life is waiting on you. It's literally in the palm of your hands...or rather your mouth. If you talk to any successful person you will hear a common theme and that is the power of your words. I was on a conference call today with a guy who is making a million dollars a year and for one hour he spoke to us about the power of what we speak out of our mouths.
He didn't spend that hour training us or telling us we needed more degrees. He didn't tell us we needed to go to another seminar to learn from the best and latest gurus. He said, "Change your words, change your world."
Oftentimes, when we look at successful people we assume they had some special gift that magically created their success or we subconsciously believe they were born with qualities superior to the rest of us, which leaves us with an inevitable deficit, so therefore, we can never reach their level.
But that is not true.
Success - and I mean ridiculous success is at the tip of your tongue. So often we look at people's amazing achievements and think that they are on some super human level, and they are - in their thinking. Yes, they usually have some type of natural ability in their area of success, but what sets them apart from the crowd is their way of thinking and how they talk to themselves.
Think of all the thoughts you have throughout the day. Now think about what those thoughts consist of. Sometimes we can be our worst enemy by what we say to ourselves. People can say all kinds of things that are unkind and discouraging about you and to you, but it's not what people say about you that matters, it's what you say about you that matters.
If someone tells you that you will never mount to anything or you'll never change or what you are believing for is impossible, their words do not have any power over you unless you give life to them. Only when you begin to own and rehearse those words to yourself do they have power over you.
The biggest battle you will ever fight will be with your own mind.
There is no person, no obstacle, no devil in the world that can stop your destiny, except your mouth. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." - Proverbs 18:21
What you speak into the atmosphere creates your world. Think about it, when Moses freed the Israelites from Egypt it should have been a 40 day trip into the Promised Land. Instead they spent 40 years in the wilderness where most all of them died, simply because of what they spoke.
"They spoke against God and against Moses, and said, 'Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!' Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died." - Numbers 21:5-7
What they spoke came to life. They spoke death and they brought death upon themselves.
Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." What this tells us is that we have the ability through our faith - our thoughts and our words - to bring forth that which exists in the unseen world into our existence.
God created the world through the spoken word. In Genesis Chapter 1 look how many times it says, "And God said....Let there be light....let the land produce vegetation....let the land produce living creatures....let us make mankind in our image...." Everything God created He did it by speaking it into existence.
This means that every created matter on this earth is subject to the spoken word. Even science confirms this. Scientists have discovered that the electron that orbits the nucleus is not always there in particle form. It exists in a wave state (like a cloud, everywhere at once) until someone looks at it. When the scientist looks at it, it suddenly appears as a particle.
What is even more interesting is they have found that the particles behave somewhat differently based on who is observing them, which leads one to believe that it is responding to one's thoughts. (You can read more about this in a short publication called "Quantum Faith" by Annette Capps.)
The hard part for us oftentimes comes when we speak something and declare it, but don't see it right away. We then have a tendency to begin to come into agreement with our circumstances. If something is going wrong we then begin to complain and say things like, "Something always goes wrong" or "This is just the way it is."
What we need to do is to begin to think of our words like seeds. If you were to plant an apple seed you wouldn't expect it to be a full grown tree the next day. You would have to allow it time to germinate and grow.
If you went out there everyday and dug up the seed it would never turn into a tree. Our words are the same way. They are seeds we are planting for our future. We may not see the manifestation of them right away, however, if you begin to align your actions with the words that represent the future you want for yourself in due time you will find that your words will indeed change your world for the better.
If you don't like what you've been seeing in your life begin to change your words. I promise a world of wonder awaits you. Now begin to speak it.
